Professional Learning
The JCSS Professional Learning program provides ongoing learning opportunities for our faculty and staff to acquire and implement the skills necessary to create remarkable learning experiences, support innovative instructional design, and sustain high achievement levels for all students.
Jackson County School System is committed to helping educators learn and grow professionally to meet the needs of students. We strive to offer multiple means of professional learning that fit the schedule and needs of our faculty and staff through the use of webinars, face-to-face, and sychronous and asychronous online trainings.
When designing and providing professional learning, we incorporate the Learning Forward Standards for Professional Learning national goals, which outline the characteristics of professional learning that lead to effective teaching practices, supportive leadership, and improved student results. The seven standards include the following: learning communities, leadership, resources, data, learning designs, implementation, and outcomes.
