Employment & Experience Verification
Starting March 2025, Jackson County Schools will partner with Verifent to streamline employment and income verification requests. Mortgage lenders, banks, landlords, and government agencies seeking proof of employment or income for current or former JCSS employees will now utilize this secure service. Additionally, Verifent will facilitate experience verification for new employees and provide years of service and sick leave accrual information for former employees.

What is Verifent?
- Verifent is an Employment and Income verification system that allows JCSS to quickly, securely, and confidently manage the employment and income information process. Through Verifent’s platform, JCSS employees can:
- Request employment verification as you transition to a new school district.
- Send employment verification and sick leave accrual forms to previous districts so JCSS can credit your experience accurately.
- Be confident that your data is handled safely and securely when banks or government agencies request your information.

How Does It Work?
Verification Requests
New Employees
We utilize Verifent to request Experience Verification requests to streamline the process and for data security purposes. To request an Experience Verification from your Former Employers, please follow the steps below:
Step 1: Create an Account
- Visit www.verifent.com
- Click Get Started
- Under Employee click Register or Login if you already have an account.
- If you click Register, you will be prompted to create an account. You will need access to your personal email for confirmation notices. Note, while adding your name and phone number, it is best to type each field directly, do not use auto populate.
- After getting a temporary password, you will be asked if you want to set up Two Factor Authentication, we suggest you select, No Thanks.
- When you have successfully created an account, Login as an employee
Step 2: Request Experience Verification
- From the menu options on the left side of the page, select Request EV
- Select Choose Your Hiring Entity
- In the window that opens, begin typing Jackson County School System-GA, make sure to select the GA system.
- Click Save Hiring Entity and Continue
- Select the appropriate forms:
- Certified staff who were employed in a Georgia public school, select Certified Experience and Sick Days
- Certified staff who were employed outside of Georgia, select Certified Experience only
- Classified staff who were employed in a Georgia public school, select Classified Experience and Sick Days
- Classified staff who were not employed in a Georgia public school, select Classified experience only
- Fill in all required fields (Note: Ga District Employee ID is not required)
Step 3: Former Employer(s)
- Click Enter ALL Former Employers
- Enter the former employer(s) that you need an Experience Verification from.
- If your former employer does not drop down as you type, click Former Employer Not Found, and enter the information requested.
- Note: Multiple former employers can be selected at once on this step
- Click Close, select your Last Place of Employment, and click Next Step.
- Confirm your order by clicking Next Step
- Review and submit your verification requests.
PLEASE NOTE: Many school districts will not complete Verification Requests until after the end of the current school year. It is your responsibility to track completion of these forms and resend if necessary.
Former Employees
We utilize Verifent to request Experience Verification requests to streamline the process and for data security purposes. To request an Experience Verification be sent to your new employer, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Create an Account

- Under Employee click Register or Login if you already have an account.

- When you have successfully created an account, Login as an employee
Step 2: Request Experience Verification
- From the menu options on the left side of the page, select Request EV
- Select Choose Your Hiring Entity
- In the window that opens, begin typing the name of your new employer. If you do not see your employer listed, choose Hiring Entity Not Found.
- Click Save Hiring Entity and Continue
- Select the appropriate forms you want sent to your new employer
- Fill in all required fields (Note: Ga District Employee ID is not required)
- Click I agree
Step 3: Enter Former Employers
- Click Enter ALL Former employers
- Start typing Jackson County School System-GA in the Former Employer field, make sure to select the correct GA system
- If your Former Employer(s) does not drop down as you type, click “Former Employer Not Found” and enter the information requested.
- Note: Multiple Former Employers can be selected
- Indicate your most recent employer
- Click Next Step
- Confirm your order and click Next Step
Loan Forgiveness
Requesting your PSLF form is easy. We utilize Verifent to streamline responses and for data security purposes.
Step 1: Create an Account
- Visit www.verifent.com
- Click Get Started
- Under Employee click Register or Login if you already have an account.
- If you click Register, you will be prompted to create an account. You will need access to your personal email for confirmation notices. Note, while adding your name and phone number, it is best to type each field directly, do not use auto populate.

- When you have successfully created an account, Login as an employee
Step 2: Request PSLF
- Click Request PSLF from the menu on the left side of the screen
- Click Choose Your Employer, begin typing Jackson County School System-GA, make sure to select the correct GA school district
- Click Save Employer and Continue
- Fill in the applicable fields:
- Section 1: Borrower Information
- Section 2: Borrower Request, Understandings and Certification
- Section 4: Employer Information
- IMPORTANT: Begin with your most recent start date
- Additional Section 4 portions can be requested if there was a break in service.
- If you are unsure of the following data elements, they can be left blank for your employer to complete:
- Employment or Certification Begin/End Date
- Hours Per Week (Average)
- Additional Message to our HR team, if needed
- Signature: YOU MUST SIGN YOUR NAME LEGIBLY FOR FEDERAL STUDENT AID TO ACCEPT THE FORM
Step 3: Employer Reviews/Completes
- The form will be sent to our HR team to review and complete Section 4.
Once completed, JCSS will have the option to fax the form directly to FEDERAL STUDENT AID. If we fax the form directly, you will be notified via email and no further action is required.
To view completed PSLF forms, visit www.verifent.com, Login as an Employee, and you can view any completed forms.
If we do not fax the form to FEDERAL STUDENT AID, you will receive a different email notification stating YOU’RE NOT DONE. Proceed to Step 4:
Step 4: Employee Response
- Click on the link in the email and enter your information. This will include an email verification and a Two-Factor Authentication code.
- Find your request and click ‘View Report.’
- All edits made by your employer will be outlined in red.
- Choose to ‘Approve and Complete’ or ‘Disapprove/Cancel.’
- Approve and Complete
- Click ‘Approve and Complete.’
- Fill in the first 5 digits of your SSN.
- If you want the PSLF form to be automatically faxed to FEDERAL STUDENT AID, move the slider button to ‘Yes.’
- Press ‘Approve and Complete.’
- To download and/or print your completed PSLF, go back to your dashboard, fill in the first 5 digits of your SSN, and do NOT fax the form to FEDERAL STUDENT AID.
- Disapprove/Cancel
- Click the ‘Disapprove/Cancel’ button.
- Type in the details of your disagreement
- **You will need to submit a new PSLF Request**
- Under ‘Additional Notes’ on the new request, describe in detail why you are submitting a new form.
- Approve and Complete
Commerce or Government Entities
Thank you for contacting us with your employment and/or income verification request. We use Verifent to respond to all verification requests. Therefore, you will need to visit www.verifent.com, register as a verifier, and submit your verification request. Once we receive the request through the Verifent website, we will securely respond to your request as soon as possible. Please see the instructions/FAQ’s below to obtain the information you need.

What is Verifent?
Verifent is an employment and income verification service that proves consumer’s employment and/or income to credentialed verifiers. It allows credentialed verifiers with a valid Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) Permissible Purpose quick access to important information that assists in their decisioning process. Additionally, it enables employers to quickly, securely, and confidently manage the employment and income information process.

How do I register as a verifier?
Please visit www.verifent.com, click on ‘Get Started,’ under ‘Verifier’ click on ‘Register Now.’
Am I a verifier?
All verifiers must apply (www.verifent.com) and be credentialed (approved) before gaining access to Verifent. This is a one-time requirement. Additionally, every verifier must have an approved Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) permissible purpose.
What information do I need to obtain a verification?
Our Organization Code is F507D2. In addition to our Organization Code, you will need the consumer’s correct first and last name while working for us, their date-of-birth, last four digits of their Social Security Number, and proof of consumer consent for any verification including income information.
What is the difference between a commercial and government verifier?
A commercial verifier is anyone that is not a government agency; i.e., mortgage company, auto finance, apartment complex, pre-employment screening, credit card, etc. A government verifier is a government agency looking to assist a consumer. i.e., SNAP, TANF, WIC, child support, Medicaid, subsidized housing, etc.
