Dr. Conway and Mrs. Diers
  • Mrs. Diers is honored to serve at West Jackson Middle School’s 2021-2022 Teacher of the Year.  This is Mrs. Diers’ 14th year teaching middle school, and her 5th year in Jackson County.  She received her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of South Carolina, her Masters of Middle Grades Education from Walden University, and her Education Specialist Degree from Piedmont College.

Mrs. Diers ignites her students' thinking by providing them with learning opportunities that are both challenging and meaningful. She encourages her students to be critical thinkers in their everyday lives.  Mrs. Diers integrates different content areas into a cohesive learning model based on real-world applications.  Through this model her students have opportunities to be inquisitive and to be problem solvers.

Outside of teaching, Mrs. Diers and her husband love to travel and spend as much time as possible enjoying the outdoors.
