Chick-fil-A Braselton will provide dinner for parents and children attending the next Family Math Night, and participation is multiplying!
The monthly events have drawn growing crowds, with approximately 100 attending the January 15 session. There is no cost to the families for meals or the learn-through-games sessions designed for students in kindergarten through eighth grade. Childcare for Pre-K and younger children also is free of charge.
Make reservations for the Tuesday, Feb. 5, session, which begins at 5 p.m. at the 441 Gordon Street Center in Jefferson, by emailing Math Curriculum Coordinator Dr. Katie Warwick at firstname.lastname@example.org or calling her at 706-367-5151, ext, 17138.
Reservations should include the adults’ names, the number of children and adults attending, and the grade level of children or ages of pre-schoolers so adequate food and game supplies — including materials to take home — will be available.
Previous dinner suppliers have included Zaxby’s of Braselton, Little Caesar’s Pizza, and Jefferson Dairy Queen. The January “soup-er supper” was prepared by members of the JCSS Teaching & Learning staff.
The evening concluded with Jenga and Bingo door prize giveaways, according to Dr. Warwick, who leads the team hosting the events. She said similar drawings will be held at the end of each of Feb. 5, March 12, and April 18. The May 9 event will be a year-end celebration.
JCSS families are welcome to attend any session and previous participation is not required.
