The Jackson County School System is led by Dr. April Howard, superintendent.

Todd Nickelsen is the assistant superintendent for teaching and learning. Our operations team, led by Ted Gilbert, includes the departments that support students and staff.

The principals of our 10 schools report directly to the superintendent, as do Annah Dodge, CPA, our chief financial officer; Dr. Selena Blankenship, director of human resources; John Uesseler, the CEO of the Empower College & Career Center; and Karen Bridgeman, communications coordinator.

Student Services, which includes our school psychologists, social workers, and nursing and counselor services, also are part of this organization.
