BOE Approves Tentative FY25 Budget, Lowers Millage Rate

The Jackson County Board of Education approved a tentative Fiscal Year 2025 budget on Monday night during the August Board Meeting.

As part of the unanimous tentative budget approval, the Board of Education voted to lower the school millage rate for the second consecutive year. The Board of Education voted to set the tentative millage rate at 15.395, the lowest in Jackson County in over 20 years. The FY24 millage rate was 15.495. The Bond Millage rate will remain at 2.6, the lowest in Jackson County since 2005. 

The Board of Education will approve the final budget in September.
