​EJES Earns SSTAGE STAR Award for Promising Practices

East Jackson Elementary School has earned the SSTAGE STAR Award for Promising Practices, the organization announced Thursday. 

The award is given by the Student Support Team Association of Georgia Educators (SSTAGE), and the STAR Award for Promising Practices recognizes the school's commitment to effective processes and practices in Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). The organization noted EJES' effective systematic problem-solving at each tier, coordinated system of instructional supports and resources, coordination system of behavioral supports and resources, coordinated system of assessment and progress monitoring, job-embedded professional learning and ongoing teacher supports and a systematic plan for parent and family communication and involvement. 

The organization also noted "East Jackson Elementary School’s enthusiasm, team collaboration, dedication, and understanding of MTSS will be an inspiration to educational leaders and teachers across the state of Georgia.."

East Jackson Elementary School was recognized with the same award in 2023. EJES will once again present at the Promising Practices Conference in January.
