JCHS Recognized With 2024-25 College Success Award

Jackson County High School has been named a recipient of the 2024-25 College Success Award by GreatSchools.org, the organization announced over the Thanksgiving break.

This award recognizes schools that excel at preparing students to enroll and succeed at the college level. Among the criteria used to determine winners is:

  • College preparation -- to include high graduation rates and strong college entrance exam results
  • College enrollment -- to include a high percentage of graduates going on to high education institutions
  • College performance -- to include students persisting and avoiding remediation once enrolled.

Jackson County High School is ranked inside the U.S. News and World Report's list of Best High Schools for 2025, and was recognized as a Georgia Department of Education AP Honor School. JCHS is also one of just 34 high schools in the state to host the International Baccalaureate (IB) program.
