JCSS Announces Teachers, Support Persons of the Year

The Jackson County School System has announced its 2024 Teachers and Support Persons of the Year, along with the three finalists for Bus Driver of the Year. 

Each school within Jackson County is represented by a Teacher and Support Person of the Year. The Central Office also names a Support Person of the Year, while the Transportation Department recognizes three Bus Driver of the Year finalists. 

The system winners will be announced via a banquet on Sept. 26. The Teachers and Support Person of the Year for each school are:

East Jackson Elementary School — Melissa Pennington & Lindsey Erwin

East Jackson High School — Katy Stone & Micki Borsa

East Jackson Middle School — Brandy Crisp & Lauren Milford

Gum Springs Elementary School — Megan McCarty & Marsha Jordan

Jackson County High School — Chris Fowler & Leann Armendariz

Legacy Knoll Middle School — Chandler Dickerson & Meg Barber

Maysville Elementary School — Matt Allen & Emma Brown

North Jackson Elementary School — Candace Brooks & Renee Smith

South Jackson Elementary School — Thomas (T.J.) Miller & Mandy Mizenis
