JCSS Awarded Computer Science Teacher Equipment & Community Grant

JCSS Awarded Computer Science Teacher Equipment & Community Grant

The Jackson County School System has been awarded the Computer Science Teacher Equipment and Community Grant for a second consecutive year. This grant, valued at $10,000, provides a valuable opportunity to strengthen the community of computer science educators by supporting professional instruction, hands-on practice, and ongoing pedagogical development. Jackson County continues to build a comprehensive K–12 Computer Science and Robotics program that begins with LEGO League Robotics and progresses into the FIRST Tech Challenge. Funding from this grant will help the system purchase classroom equipment, support instructor professional development on best practices, and expand community partnerships that enhance our computer science and robotics programs.
