JCSS Names Teacher, Support Person, Bus Driver of the Year

JEFFERSON — The Jackson County School System announced the district Teacher, Support Person and Bus Driver of the Year during a banquet on Thursday, Sept. 28. 

Dr. Stephanie Westhafer, a first-grade teacher at West Jackson Elementary School, was named the system's Teacher of the Year. Mr. Keith Ware, the Plant Manager at Jackson County High School, was named the system's Support Person of the Year, becoming just the second person to earn the honor in school system history. Mr. Pete McClellan was announced as the system's first-ever Bus Driver of the Year. 

In total, the Jackson County School System recognized 28 individuals during Thursday's banquet, including the Teacher and Support Person of the Year from each school, the Support Person of the Year from the Central Office and three Bus Driver of the Year finalists.
