Students from across the district submitted drawings for the annual School Bus Safety Poster Contest.

We celebrated our Bus Safety Poster Contest winners at the Nov. 11 meeting of the Board of Education at West Jackson Middle School — proud of and happy for these youngsters who took the theme “Red Lights Mean Stop!” and ran with it!

Winners included WJMS seventh-graders Bridget Bogel and Anna Diaconescu; EJES fourth-grader Kimberly Alexander; and Samuel Gore, a fifth-grader, and Hollie Nichlen, a second-grader, at NJES. Anna also was honored as a winner in 2018.

The awards were presented by David Farmer, director of transportation for the Jackson County School System. The students were accompanied by their parents and principals.
