JCHS Teacher of the Year

Congratulations to Mr. Matt Bolt the 2021-2022 JCHS Teacher of the Year! We are proud to have you represent the faculty and staff of Jackson County High School, Coach Bolt!

Coach Bolt is a product of Jackson County, as he graduated from JCCHS in 2008. Coach Bolt then went on to play college baseball for two years at Piedmont College before transferring to the University of Georgia where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary English Education. Upon graduation in the spring of 2013, Coach Bolt began his teaching tenure at JCCHS in the fall of 2013 where he has been an educator in the English/Language Arts department ever since. He received his Master's Degree in English Language Arts Content and Curriculum in the summer of 2017 from Piedmont College. In addition to teaching various preps in the ELA department, Coach Bolt serves as the Head Baseball Coach for JCHS. Coach Bolt was also named the JCCHS Teacher of the Year for the 2016-2017 school year.
