North Jackson celebrates a love of reading the entire month of February. One of our many initiatives takes place on Valentine's Day where we host a variety of guest readers in all classrooms. This year, we welcomed 100 guest readers and had over 150 classroom readings. Our guest readers were a mix of parents, community leaders, student athletes, and local celebrities. Students and teachers alike take great pride in this special initiative because it's imperative that our young students connect reading with those whom they admire the most. What better day than Valentine's Day to celebrate and promote a love of reading!
