Robertson, Smith approved as new Assistant Principals
COMMERCE — The Jackson County Board of Education approved the hire of two new assistant principals at East Jackson Comprehensive High School.
Lindsey Robertson, a current assistant principal at Archer High School, and Adam Smith, a current assistant principal at Mill Creek High School, will both be moving to EJCHS in the fall.
"Ms. Robertson brings 5 years of administrative experience with her. She has exhibited a passion for kids and will serve our students well at EJCHS. She will play an integral role in our continued pursuit of excellence. We are excited for her to join the Eagle family,” EJCHS Principal Dr. Matt Stratemeyer said.
"Mr. Smith has served as an assistant principal since January 2020 and brings a wealth of knowledge with him. He has a proven track record and will work closely with the administrative team to ensure that our students receive a high-quality education. We are thrilled to welcome him aboard!"
Robertson currently serves as the assistant principal of Special Education and Social Studies at Archer. She will oversee students within the Georgia Network for Educational and Therapeutic Support (GNETS) in her role at EJCHS.
Smith is the assistant principal overseeing social studies and 9th and 10th grade discipline. He has been at Mill Creek since 2020. He served at Dacula High School from 2012-2019 as a social studies teacher and department chair.
Robertson earned a Bachelor of Science in Special Education before earning her Master of Curriculum and Instruction from Georgia Southern University. She obtained her Education Specialist Degree in Teacher Leadership from Valdosta State University. She also earned her Tier 1 Leadership Certification from the University of West Georgia.
Smith holds a Bachelor of Science in History Education and a Master of Education in Instructional Technology from Kennesaw State University. He has a Tier 1 Leadership Certification from the University of West Georgia.
