Support Positions
Support positions play a critical role in the success of JCSS. There are multiple avenues for an individual to serve in a supporting role for the system, such as an administrative professional, paraprofessional, bus driver, facilities and maintenance staff, custodial staff, school nutrition staff and student support services staff.

About Jackson County
Jackson County is located in Northeast, Georgia, north of Gwinnett County, east of Hall County and west of Athens-Clarke County. The west-side of Jackson County is a short 25 minute drive from the Mall of Georgia, while the east-side of the county is a short commute to nearby Athens, Ga., home of the University of Georgia.
Jackson County is home to over 80,000 residents, with over 11,300 of those residents attending school inside of the Jackson County School System. Jackson County is one of the fastest growing counties in the state and nation, with new housing developments being built throughout the county, and industry relocating to the community.
Jackson County is home to multiple municipalities, including Arcade, Braselton, Commerce, Hoschton, Jefferson, Pendergrass and Talmo.
Become A Substitute
Want to get involved with the school system on a part-time basis, but still want to make an impact? The Jackson County School System is always seeking substitute teachers. Short-term and long-term positions are available. Substitutes make a minimum of $100 per day.
