JCHS' Cersey Named Semifinalist For National Merit Scholarship Program
Jackson County High School senior Drake Cersey has been named a semifinalist for the National Merit Scholarship Program.
The National Merit Scholarship Program is an annual competition among high school students for recognition and college undergraduate scholarships. Students enter the competition by taking the Preliminary SAT (PSAT). With over 1.3 million eligible students, approximately 16,000 students nationally are recognized as semifinalists, meaning the students were the highest-scoring entrants in their state.
