2027-28 HHS/JCHS HB251 Process
Parents/Guardians who live in Jackson County and want their children to attend a JCSS school other than the one for which the family’s residence is zoned may apply for a change through the process established by Georgia House Bill 251, Public School Choice Framework.
The 2027-28 HHS/JCHS HB251 process is currently only available to rising juniors (Class of 2029) and/or younger high school siblings of rising seniors (Class of 2028) at Jackson County High School. This process allows Class of 2029 graduating students the opportunity to choose which west-side high school they wish attend.
Please note, transportation will be provided to members of the Class of 2028. Transportation will NOT be provided for students utilizing House Bill 251 to attend any school outside of their attendance zone.
