2027-28 HHS/JCHS HB251 Process
Parents/Guardians who live in Jackson County and want their children to attend a JCSS school other than the one for which the family’s residence is zoned may apply for a change through the process established by Georgia House Bill 251, Public School Choice Framework.
The 2027-28 HHS/JCHS HB251 process is currently only available to rising juniors (Class of 2029) and/or younger high school siblings of rising seniors (Class of 2028) at Jackson County High School. This process allows Class of 2029 graduating students the opportunity to choose which west-side high school they wish attend. Please note, transportation will not be provided to students who attend a school outside of their school zone.
